Helado Negro

Helado Negro is the musical project of American musician, singer, and producer Roberto Carlos Lange, born in 1980 to Ecuadorian parents and raised in South Florida. Drawing from his Latinx heritage, electronic music sensibilities, and a love for exploratory songwriting, Lange has developed an acclaimed body of work since launching Helado Negro in 2009. His bilingual lyrics seamlessly weave English and Spanish, reflecting themes of identity, community, healing, and personal reflection.

Over a series of celebrated albums, including "Double Youth," "This Is How You Smile," and "Far In," Helado Negro has cultivated a lush, intimate sound characterized by gentle rhythms, atmospheric textures, and heartfelt vocals.
