INFO

The forest awakens for another edition of Dekmantel Festival, as the Amsterdamse Bos transforms into a pulsing vortex of forward-thinking sound. Sunday’s programming channels the futurist ethos that has made the festival a globally revered touchstone, closing the weekend with an explosive convergence of cutting-edge artists and iconic visionaries. A refined curation showcases boundary-pushers across the spectrum: from Arsenal Mikebe’s rhythmic experiments to Valentina Magaletti’s intricate percussion and B12’s foundational techno mutations, each act offers their own interpretation of the dancefloor’s endless potential.

Avalon Emerson, revered for her emotionally poignant club sets, and Carlos Valdes, a mainstay of Amsterdam’s underground, step up alongside a wave of envelope-pushers including Cobahn, Zara, and Doudou MD. Revered selectors such as DjRUM, Objekt, and Efdemin weave hypnotic narratives shaped by deep exploration, while Eris Drew channels transformative frequencies at the intersection of rave and psychedelia. The unique energies of Evan Baggs, Rey Colino, and HiTech, along with the subversive stylings of Identified Patient and the bass-driven innovations of Mia Koden, Ineffekt, and Ruthless, amplify the festival’s signature spirit of adventurous programming.

House legend Joe Claussell delivers spiritual grooves, while Kamma and Masalo represent local forces shaping contemporary Dutch dance music. The day traverses diverse textures, from DJ Koolt’s South American rhythms to Loidis’ lush soundscapes, the drum & bass mastery of LTJ Bukem and Tim Reaper, and the experimental dubwise pressure of Mad Professor. Ambient and leftfield strains come courtesy of Perila, Ulla, and Plaid, threading meditative interludes into the fabric of the day.

Key figures like Richie Hawtin, Roza Terenzi, Sasha, and Young Marco anchor proceedings, joined by house and techno royalty Satoshi Tomiie and Zip. Sedef Adasï, Sepehr, Special Request, and two shell present genre-blurring club energy, while upsammy, Voices From The Lake, Yaeji, and others provide a contemporary perspective on electronic expression. As dusk falls over the Bos, Dekmantel Festival’s Sunday edition unfurls as a meticulously crafted journey, delivering a masterclass in underground music culture and reaffirming Amsterdam’s place at the cutting edge of global club music.
