The Pilotwings are an electronic music duo hailing from Lyon, France, comprised of Louis “Jonquera” Daubresse and Guillaume “Eiger Drums Propaganda” Lespinasse. Since their emergence in the mid-2010s, The Pilotwings have captivated underground audiences with their eclectic and playfully psychedelic approach to electronic dance music. Infused with a kaleidoscopic blend of dreamy house, balearic, ambient, trance, and breakbeat influences, their productions also flirt with ’90s French rave aesthetics, new age, and exotic sample collages.
Their breakthrough on local label BFDM (Brothers From Different Mothers) paved the way for their critically acclaimed debut LP, “Les Portes du Brionnais,” in 2016, which showcased their bold sense of humor and sonic adventurism. The Pilotwings have become pivotal figures in the French club scene, known for both their inventive studio output and dynamic DJ sets that celebrate the unexpected. With subsequent releases such as “Pour Faire Pleurer Les Chomeurs” and remixes for various artists, the duo continue to expand their musical universe with a sense of mischief, nostalgia, and forward-thinking flair.
