Nestled in the heart of Turin, Italy, Le Roi Torino, also known as the Lutrario dance hall, is a beacon of the city's vibrant music and cultural scene. This iconic venue, originally brought to life by the renowned architect Carlo Mollino in 1959, exudes an eclectic charm with its marvellous and unusual architecture. A testament to its storied past, inside one can still find the famed pink piano once played by the legendary Fred Buscaglione, a symbol of the venue's enduring connection to music history.
Since 2008, the dynamic duo of promoters, Toni Campa and Luciana De Biase, have breathed new life into Le Roi, transforming it into a cultural landmark while preserving its rich heritage. Their efforts in structural recovery have revitalized the dance hall, allowing both locals and visitors alike to experience the timeless dance tradition that Le Roi embodies. The venue's cultural significance for the City of Turin is immense, with the Campa-De Biase partnership being instrumental in restoring the legendary Le Roi Music Hall to its former glory.
The photo gallery within the venue serves as a visual narrative, showcasing the myriad of Italian and foreign celebrities who have graced its halls, further cementing its status as a hallowed ground of artistic expression. Notable artists who have performed here include HolyU, Octavio Octavio, Dualismo Sound, Impérieux, and Antwood.
