John Power is a contemporary visual artist known for his dynamic exploration of color, abstraction, and urban landscapes. Born in 1982 in Chicago, Illinois, Power’s early exposure to the city’s vibrant street art scene deeply influenced his creative trajectory. He received his BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2005, where he developed a distinctive style that merges geometric abstraction with layered textures and vivid hues.
Over the past two decades, Power’s paintings and mixed media works have been exhibited in galleries and museums across the United States and internationally, earning him critical acclaim for his innovative approach to composition and spatial perception. Influenced by modernist traditions as well as contemporary design, Power’s work often reflects the intersection between order and chaos, echoing the rhythms of urban life.
