Egg
London is a renowned nightclub situated in the heart of North
London, UK, and has built a reputation as one of the city’s premier electronic music venues since its inception in 2003. Founded by Laurence Malice, Egg transformed a Victorian warehouse space into a multi-room, multi-level clubbing destination, blending industrial architecture with modern lighting and sound design. The club's name was inspired by the venue’s embodiment of rebirth and creativity, coinciding with the venue’s opening around the time of Easter.
Over the years, Egg
London has become an integral part of
London’s night-time economy and a beloved hotspot for fans of house, techno, and other dance music genres. Its cultural significance reaches beyond nightlife; Egg has hosted official after-parties for institutions like the Ministry of Sound and fabric, and serves as a hub where both emerging and established artists interact, fostering the growth of the UK and European electronic music scenes. The club is known for its extended opening hours, particularly on weekends, drawing crowds looking for marathon dance sessions, and its strict yet inclusive door policy that helps maintain an open-minded and friendly atmosphere.
Although the venue itself has not changed location, it has undergone several refurbishments and expansions, most notably adding rooms and installing state-of-the-art Funktion-One sound systems to enhance the clubbing experience. Egg
London has also diversified its events to include live concerts, LGBT+ events, and special showcases in partnership with major labels and promoters, cementing its position as a versatile and forward-thinking institution in
London nightlife.
Some of the notable artists who have graced the decks at Egg
London include international stars such as Carl Cox, Nicole Moudaber, Adam Beyer, Sven Väth, Loco Dice, Laurent Garnier, Claptone, and Green Velvet.
