IAMX

IAMX is the solo musical project of British musician Chris Corner, who originally emerged as a founding member of the trip-hop band Sneaker Pimps. Formed in 2004, IAMX is renowned for its unique blend of electronic, synth-pop, and dark cabaret influences, coupled with deeply personal and often theatrical lyrics exploring themes of identity, sexuality, psychological struggle, and transformation. Corner’s androgynous vocals and dramatic stage presence have become hallmarks of IAMX’s live performances, creating an immersive experience for fans.

The project’s visual and sonic aesthetic draws inspiration from both the decadence of Berlin’s nightlife—where Corner lived for several years—and his own interests in performance art and existential philosophy. Over the years, IAMX has released a string of critically acclaimed albums, starting with the debut "Kiss + Swallow," and including notable works such as "The Alternative," "Kingdom of Welcome Addiction," and the introspective "Metanoia." Corner produces, writes, and often mixes IAMX’s music himself, crafting a distinctively raw, emotional sound that has cultivated a devoted international following. Beyond music, IAMX is recognized for embracing multimedia art, mental health advocacy, and a fiercely independent spirit that resists easy categorization.
