BigYuki, born Masayuki Hirano in Japan, is a genre-defying keyboardist, composer, and producer known for his innovative fusion of jazz, hip-hop, electronic, and soul music. Moving to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music, BigYuki quickly established himself as a dynamic force on the global music scene. After relocating to New York City, he became a sought-after collaborator, performing and recording with renowned artists such as A Tribe Called Quest, Kamasi Washington, Robert Glasper, and Marcus Strickland.

His unique approach layers intricate harmonies, lush synth textures, and hard-hitting grooves, reflecting both his formal classical training and a deep-rooted love for improvisational music. BigYuki’s solo work, including acclaimed albums like “Reaching for Chiron,” showcases his signature blend of Japanese melodic sensibilities with cutting-edge sound design, earning him a devoted international following and recognition as a trailblazer at the crossroads of modern music.
