The venue resides in a building that once operated as a cinema in the early 20th century, later serving various entertainment uses before transforming into a high-energy club space. Since its opening as Dali, the club quickly garnered a reputation for embracing cutting-edge electronic music, immersive lighting, and avant-garde visual art installations, cementing its status as a cultural landmark for both nightlife and creative expression in Cork.

Dali is known for its commitment to fostering an inclusive, artist-focused environment that appeals to a diverse clientele, frequently hosting themed nights, local art exhibitions, and community-driven events in addition to its regular club nights. The structure at T12 K20P has seen various interior refurbishments over the years, adapting to modern standards while retaining echoes of its cinematic history—distinctively blending old-world architecture with contemporary design.
