Tactile

Tactile is a multidisciplinary artist collective founded in 2017, whose members explore the sensory intersections of material, sound, and spatial experience. Drawing from diverse backgrounds in textile design, sound engineering, and sculpture, Tactile’s immersive works defy boundaries between audience and artwork, often encouraging touch, movement, and sonic interaction. Based in Philadelphia, the collective’s installations have been exhibited at regional galleries such as the Annex and international venues including the Helsinki Design Week.

Tactile’s practice is informed by themes of memory, tactility, and the hidden resonances of everyday materials, frequently integrating recycled textiles and responsive electronics. Their collaborative approach extends beyond gallery walls, engaging local communities through participatory workshops and public art projects that invite viewers to reimagine their physical relationship to art and environment.
