Stacy

Stacy is a multidisciplinary artist whose work gently traverses the realms of memory, identity, and transformation. Born in Detroit, Michigan, and now based in Brooklyn, Stacy’s creative journey began with street photography before expanding into painting, installation, and performance art. Drawing inspiration from everyday encounters and personal archives, Stacy’s practice is characterized by a sensitive interplay of color, texture, and narrative.

Their work has been featured in exhibitions across the United States and Europe, including solo shows at the Brighton Arts Center and group exhibitions at the Brooklyn Museum. Stacy is particularly interested in the ways humans make sense of change and loss, weaving found materials, expressive gestures, and intimate storytelling into evocative, immersive experiences. Alongside studio practice, Stacy has worked as an arts educator and community organizer, fostering creative spaces that center marginalized voices.

In recent years, Stacy’s projects explore themes of home, migration, and the delicate boundaries between public and private lives, inviting viewers to reflect on the poetics of everyday existence.
