Schiela

Schiela is a contemporary visual artist whose work explores the intersection of abstraction and emotional resonance through vibrant color palettes and layered textures. Born in 1986 in Manila, Philippines, Schiela developed an early passion for drawing and painting, influenced by the dynamic surroundings of her urban environment and her Filipino heritage. After studying Fine Arts at the University of the Philippines Diliman, she immersed herself in various artistic communities, refining her techniques across acrylic, mixed media, and digital forms.

Schiela’s practice is characterized by a persistent curiosity about movement, memory, and the unseen connections between people and places. Her pieces often evoke a sense of nostalgia and longing, inviting viewers to reflect on their own inner landscapes. Her works have been exhibited in galleries throughout Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America, and she has received recognition for her innovative approach to both solo and collaborative projects.
