Kim She

Kim She is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersections of identity, memory, and transience through a combination of painting, installation, and digital media. Born in Seoul, South Korea, and currently based in Berlin, she draws inspiration from her experiences straddling multiple cultures, navigating questions of belonging and impermanence. Her artistic practice is characterized by layered textures, evocative color stories, and manipulated found objects that evoke both nostalgia and resilience.

Exhibited in galleries across Europe and Asia, Kim’s projects frequently incorporate community participation and archival materials, inviting viewers to consider how personal and collective histories intertwine. She received her MFA from the Berlin University of the Arts, and her recent exhibitions include “Echoes in Stillness” at the SOMA Art Space and “Between Breath” at Gallery 176. Kim She continues to challenge the boundaries between disciplines, using art as a means to create spaces for dialogue and reflection around migration, memory, and the fluidity of self.
