Poolside

Poolside is an American nu-disco and chillwave duo founded in Los Angeles by producer, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Jeffrey Paradise in 2011. Initially formed alongside Filip Nikolic, Poolside quickly gained recognition for their sun-soaked sound, blending elements of electronic music, indie pop, and laid-back grooves into a style they dubbed “daytime disco.” The group’s breakout track, “Do You Believe,” and debut album, “Pacific Standard Time” (2012), earned critical acclaim for their breezy melodies, lush production, and effortless blend of danceable rhythms with a relaxed West Coast sensibility.

Over the years, Poolside’s lineup evolved, with Paradise remaining the driving creative force and collaborating with a rotating cast of musicians. Their follow-up albums, including “Heat” (2017) and “Low Season” (2020), further expanded their palette, incorporating funk, house, and balearic influences while maintaining their signature laid-back aesthetic. Poolside has become a staple at major music festivals and on playlists worldwide, praised for their evocative live shows and remixes for artists like Rhye and Tycho.

Their music offers a soundtrack to moments of leisure and escape, embodying both the breezy optimism and hazy nostalgia of California’s endless summer.
