Moritz Von Oswald Trio

Moritz Von Oswald Trio is an innovative electronic music group from Germany, founded by influential producer and musician Moritz von Oswald, a pivotal figure in Berlin's techno and dub scene. Formed in 2008, the trio originally featured von Oswald alongside Max Loderbauer, known for his work with Sun Electric and Ricardo Villalobos, and Vladislav Delay (Sasu Ripatti), a renowned Finnish experimental artist. Later lineups would see other notable musicians, such as percussionist Tony Allen and Laurel Halo, join the group.

Fusing elements of dub, techno, jazz, and experimental improvisation, the Moritz Von Oswald Trio has gained acclaim for their exploratory live performances and their critically lauded albums, including "Vertical Ascent" (2009), "Horizontal Structures" (2011), and "Sounding Lines" (2015). The Trio is recognized for their adventurous approach to rhythm and sound, using acoustic instruments, electronics, and mixing board manipulation to blur boundaries between genres, and have played a significant role in shaping the sound of contemporary electronic and experimental music internationally.
