Max Loderbauer

Max Loderbauer is a renowned German electronic music producer, composer, and sound designer known for his avant-garde approach and innovative contributions to contemporary electronic and experimental music. Emerging from the vibrant Berlin music scene, Loderbauer first gained recognition as a member of Sun Electric in the 1990s, producing influential ambient techno and IDM that helped define the era’s sound. His career has been marked by a spirit of collaboration, notably partnering with Ricardo Villalobos for the critically acclaimed “Re: ECM” project, which reimagined classic ECM jazz and contemporary compositions through minimalist electronic textures.

Loderbauer is also a pivotal figure in the Moritz von Oswald Trio, where his mastery of modular synthesis and improvisation enhances the group’s fusion of techno, jazz, and dub.
