Maryna Space

Maryna Space is a contemporary multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersection of memory, technology, and the natural environment. Born in 1988 in Kyiv, Ukraine, Space has developed a distinct visual language that merges digital manipulation with traditional painting and sculpture. Her early experiences growing up amid rapid political and technological changes in Eastern Europe have profoundly shaped her thematic interests, resulting in evocative artworks that contemplate transformation and resilience.

Space holds an MFA from the Berlin University of the Arts, where she deepened her engagement with new media and installation. Her projects often incorporate interactive elements, inviting viewers to participate in the evolving narrative of her pieces. Space’s work has been exhibited internationally, including solo and group shows in Berlin, London, New York, and Kyiv, and she has been the recipient of several prestigious grants and residencies.

In addition to her studio practice, Space is committed to arts education, facilitating creative workshops for youth and marginalized communities.
