J.Fernandes is a contemporary visual artist renowned for their evocative exploration of identity, memory, and cultural narrative through mixed-media compositions. Born in Lisbon in 1985, Fernandes studied fine arts at the University of Porto, where early influences included both Portuguese modernist traditions and global street art.

Relocating to Berlin in 2012, Fernandes developed a distinctive style characterized by layered textures, fragmented imagery, and vibrant improvisational use of found materials. Over the last decade, their works have been exhibited across Europe and North America, receiving critical acclaim for installations that prompt viewers to reconsider the boundaries between personal experience and collective history.
