Born as Isaiah Major in Chicago, DJ Rush emerged from the city’s legendary house and techno scene in the 1990s, quickly developing a reputation for his energetically driving and often playful sound. Standing at over 6 feet tall and renowned for his charismatic stage presence, he became a key figure in the international club circuit. His signature style fuses pounding techno beats with elements of house, funk, and his own deep, booming vocals.

Starting his career in Chicago clubs such as The Warehouse and the Music Box, DJ Rush gained distinction for sets that effortlessly moved from soulful, groovy rhythms to hard-hitting, industrial soundscapes. Relocating to Europe in the late ‘90s, he became a sought-after artist at major festivals and events, notably in Germany’s Love Parade, Awakenings in the Netherlands, and countless underground clubs. His productions—releases on labels including Kne’ Deep, Pro-Jex, and Trax—have contributed to shaping the global techno sound, known for tracks such as “Motherfucking Bass,” “Get On Up,” and “Freaks on Hubbard.
