22 Interns

22 Interns is a dynamic collective of emerging artists hailing from various regions across the Netherlands, united by a shared passion for experimentation and interdisciplinary collaboration. Since their formation in 2021, the group has consistently blurred the boundaries between installation, performance, visual arts, and digital media, creating immersive experiences that challenge traditional notions of authorship and creative identity. Drawing inspiration from the rich artistic heritage of the Netherlands as well as contemporary global issues, 22 Interns frequently address themes of urban transformation, collective memory, climate anxiety, and technological mediation.

Their site-specific projects and pop-up exhibitions, often staged in unconventional venues—from abandoned factories to city streets—invite audiences to engage directly with the process of creation. The collective’s work has received recognition at several Dutch art festivals and has been featured in both local and international media as an exemplar of the innovative spirit animating the next generation of Dutch artists.
