Hurts

Hurts are an English synth-pop duo formed in Manchester in 2009, comprising singer Theo Hutchcraft and multi-instrumentalist Adam Anderson. The pair initially met in 2005 and played together in earlier bands before adopting the Hurts moniker, quickly making waves with their sleek, melancholic sound inspired by 1980s new wave, electronic and pop music. They gained rapid attention with the viral success of their debut single "Wonderful Life," which showcased their signature blend of lush synthesizers, emotive vocals, and sophisticated production.
