The Students' Union at UWE (University of the West of England) is a prominent nightlife and event venue located in Bristol, United Kingdom, primarily serving the university's large and diverse student population. Formerly known as “UWESU” or “UWE Students' Union,” its main base at the Frenchay Campus has developed in tandem with UWE Bristol’s growth over recent decades. Originally, student social spaces at UWE consisted of small bars and common rooms scattered across various campuses, but as the university expanded, the need for a central, larger union space became evident.

In 2015, a major redevelopment project culminated in the opening of a modern, purpose-built Students' Union building at Frenchay, featuring multi-purpose club and event spaces, updated bars, and other student facilities. Renowned for its inclusive and vibrant atmosphere, The Students' Union at UWE plays a significant cultural role both within the university and in the broader Bristol nightlife scene. Notable artists who have performed at The Students' Union at UWE include the internationally acclaimed DJ Wilkinson, grime pioneer Lethal Bizzle, renowned BBC Radio 1 DJ Charlie Sloth, rising UK rapper Ms Banks, dance and pop fusion artist Becky Hill, and local Bristol favorite Roni Size, among others. The Union has also played host to countless student bands and DJs, reflecting its ongoing support for new talent within Bristol’s thriving music scene.
