Info

The Palace Nightclub, situated at 17 Ludlow St in the heart of Dillonsland, Navan, Co. Meath, Ireland, has long been a vibrant cornerstone of the local nightlife scene. Established in the early 1990s, it rapidly gained recognition as one of Meath’s premier venues for dance music, live acts, and late-night entertainment.

Initially constructed on the premises of a former cinema, The Palace underwent significant renovations in 1997, transforming the space into a multi-room club complete with modern lighting, superior sound systems, and plush interiors, which set a new standard for nightlife in Navan. Over the years, its reputation blossomed beyond county borders, with clubbers traveling from Dublin and other surrounding areas to experience its electric atmosphere. The Palace became known not only as a hotbed for top DJs and club nights but also for serving as a rite of passage for generations of Meath’s youth.

The venue has endured through changing musical trends, occasional refurbishments, and the cyclical nature of the club industry, yet remains deeply woven into the social fabric of Navan. While rumours of relocation or expansion have occasionally circulated, there has been a strong commitment from management to preserve its iconic Ludlow Street address, ensuring that The Palace retains its authentic charm and local significance. Notable artists who have graced The Palace’s stage over the years include international headliners such as Judge Jules, DJ Sammy, and Basshunter, alongside a host of celebrated Irish acts like Mark McCabe, Jenny Greene, and Dec Pierce.

The venue has also provided a launchpad for local talents including DJ Fergal D’Arcy, The Academic, and The Strypes, becoming a beloved chapter in the story of Ireland’s modern music scene.
