RSO.BERLIN is a renowned nightclub located in Berlin, Germany, that has quickly become a key player in the city’s celebrated electronic music scene. Originally established in 2021, RSO.BERLIN was founded by the team behind the iconic Greissmuehle club, which itself was a pivotal institution in Berlin nightlife until its closure. The birth of RSO.BERLIN marked a symbolic and physical continuation of Greissmuehle’s legacy, inheriting its ethos of musical exploration, diversity, and inclusivity.
The club is located in the industrial area of Schöneweide, providing a raw, warehouse-like environment that is characteristic of Berlin’s underground culture. With a multifaceted space featuring multiple dance floors, a sprawling outdoor area, and immersive light installations, RSO.BERLIN fosters a unique sensory experience and positions itself at the forefront of innovative club design. RSO has garnered a reputation for championing diverse electronic music, from techno and house to more experimental sounds.
Its programming is celebrated for supporting both established artists and emerging talent. Beyond its role as a music venue, RSO.BERLIN is also recognized for its strong commitment to community values, egalitarian door policy, and safe, inclusive spaces. This atmosphere stems from the legacy of Greissmuehle, carrying over a loyal following of both local Berliners and international clubgoers.
The club has played a significant part in revitalizing Berlin’s nightlife after the COVID-19 pandemic, serving as a hub for solidarity within the community and as a driver of new cultural movements. Structurally, RSO has evolved within its industrial surroundings, periodically updating and expanding its indoor and outdoor configurations to enhance both comfort and the audio-visual experience for attendees. While the original Greissmuehle was forced to close and relocate, RSO has established itself as a permanent and evolving force on the city's clubbing map.
Notable artists who have performed at RSO.BERLIN include international names such as Ben Klock, DVS1, Ellen Allien, Rødhåd, Marcel Dettmann, Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens, and DJ Stingray 313. The venue also gives a platform to local heroes like FJAAK, Sama’ Abdulhadi, CEM, Freddy K, and resident DJs including Jamaica Suk and François X. By consistently featuring a blend of international headliners and up-and-coming Berlin-based artists, RSO.BERLIN continues to shape the sounds and spirit of the city’s club culture.
