INFO

OT301 is a renowned alternative cultural center and nightclub located in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Established in the early 2000s, OT301 emerged from the city's vibrant squatters' movement after a group of artists and activists took over a former film academy building at Overtoom 301 in 1999. Over the years, OT301 has developed into a legal, collectively-managed space hosting not only club nights but also art exhibitions, film screenings, workshops, vegan café De Peper, and numerous social, political, and grassroots activities.
Its atmosphere is fiercely non-commercial and DIY, fostering a sense of community and inclusivity that has attracted both locals and international visitors who seek a more experimental and underground nightlife experience than Amsterdam’s mainstream club scene offers. Culturally, OT301 holds a unique position within the city for championing diverse subcultures, critical discourse, and innovative forms of music and art. While the building itself has not changed location, extensive efforts by the resident collective transformed the old film academy structure into a vibrant, multi-purpose venue that reflects the ever-evolving spirit of alternative culture in Amsterdam.
Maintaining its roots in activism, self-management, and social engagement, OT301 continues to host a wide array of events and performances, often blurring boundaries between music, visual arts, and community organizing. Notable artists who have graced OT301’s stage include international acts such as Venetian Snares, Alec Empire, DJ Marcelle, The Bug, and Clark, as well as respected local artists and collectives like Juju & Jordash, Intergalactic Gary, Steven de Peven, Shanti Celeste, and the Red Light Radio crew.
