The MS Connexion Complex, a cornerstone of the electronic music scene in Unknown City, Germany, first emerged on the cultural landscape in 1982. However, it was not until 1984 that the venue finally opened its doors, after overcoming bureaucratic hurdles in the city of Mannheim. Situated within a historic site that once functioned as a factory over 150 years ago, the club has masterfully integrated its industrial heritage into the very fabric of its identity.
The venue sprawls across two levels, offering five distinct dance floors, a BDSM club sequestered in the basement, and an inviting outdoor area complete with a bar. This multifaceted layout has allowed MS Connexion to host a range of themed events that have become legendary in their own right. The club is renowned for its massive overdone NORTON Soundsystem, which reverberates through every room, enhancing the raw, industrial aesthetic that defines the space.
Over the years, MS Connexion has earned a reputation as a beacon of contemporary club culture in Europe, attracting a diverse crowd with its eclectic programming. From its infamous Gaywerk parties to its colossal gothic gatherings, and its regular techno, house, and drum and bass nights, the venue has cemented its status as a cultural institution. Its commitment to diversity and inclusivity is further exemplified by its ability to seamlessly blend a variety of subcultures under one roof, offering something for everyone while remaining at the cutting edge of the electronic music scene.
Notable artists who have performed here include Shoe Bee, Sonair, Seimen Dexter, TOXXISTENZE, and Dead Sin.
The capacity of MS Connexion Complex is 2000.
