Moth Club, based in Hackney, East London, is a vibrant and eclectic nightclub and music venue that has become one of the city's most beloved spots for live performance and nightlife. Originally functioning as the “Memorable Order of Tin Hats” veterans’ club, the current Moth Club still nods to its roots: the name is a direct reference to the organization, and its décor is a blend of the club’s original 1970s fixtures and glitzy touches like a gold glitter ceiling, all of which contribute to its quirky and charming character. Since opening its doors as a public live music and arts venue in 2015, Moth Club has earned a reputation for celebrating both emerging talent and well-established acts, making it an essential hub for London’s diverse creative, musical, and nightlife communities.

The venue, operated by London-based promoters and venue owners Lanzarote Works, has never relocated, but it has gradually upgraded its technical facilities and added new event programming, expanding from live gigs to include comedy, club nights, film screenings, and private events. Moth Club maintains its sense of intimacy and authenticity, with a capacity of roughly 250—a setting that regularly sees surprise appearances and secret shows by major stars.
