Lodge Room is a celebrated nightclub and music venue located in the Highland Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. Housed within a historic Masonic lodge originally built in the 1920s, the venue has maintained much of its original architectural charm, boasting ornate woodwork, grand arched ceilings, and a distinctive vintage ambiance that pays homage to its storied past. The transformation of the former Masonic hall into Lodge Room began in 2017 when a group of local music lovers and entrepreneurs envisioned a gathering space that combined world-class audio fidelity with the character and intimacy only a historic structure could provide.
Since opening its doors, Lodge Room has gained a stellar reputation for its eclectic programming, exemplary sound system, and inclusive ethos, quickly establishing itself as a cornerstone of Los Angeles’s live music and nightlife culture. The venue holds significant cultural weight, frequently serving as a nexus for creative communities across the city, from fans of psych rock and jazz to hip-hop, experimental electronic music, and beyond. Unlike many nightclubs which might undergo rapid transformation or frequent relocation, Lodge Room has largely remained true to its original setting, with only minor structural and technological updates carried out over the years to enhance the audience and artist experience without sacrificing its historic soul.
This commitment to preserving the venue’s architectural heritage while fostering contemporary music culture has made it a preferred stage for both ascending local talent and internationally acclaimed acts. Notable artists who have performed at Lodge Room include acclaimed international bands and musicians such as Khruangbin, Moses Sumney, Kamasi Washington, Japanese Breakfast, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Jeff Tweedy, Yves Tumor, and Makaya McCraven, as well as prominent local acts and scene-shaping artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Chicano Batman, Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall, Los Retros, Sudan Archives, and Nick Hakim, reaffirming its place as an indispensable fixture in the eclectic tapestry of Los Angeles nightlife.
The capacity of Lodge Room is 500.
