Les Bains venue image

Info

Les Bains, nestled in the heart of Paris, is a legendary nightclub that has long stood as a beacon of nightlife and cultural significance. Originally opened in 1885 as Les Bains Douches, a luxurious bathhouse, it became a sanctuary for the elite of Paris, offering relaxation and indulgence. Fast forward to the late 1970s, and the space was transformed into a nightclub by entrepreneur Fabrice Coat and designer Philippe Starck, quickly becoming the epicenter of Parisian nightlife.

Les Bains gained notoriety throughout the 1980s and 1990s, attracting a glamorous array of artists, celebrities, and fashion icons. Its reputation for decadence and exclusivity was solidified as it became a playground for the likes of Andy Warhol, David Bowie, and Grace Jones. In 2010, however, the club was closed due to structural issues, leading to a significant renovation and transformation.

It reopened in 2015 as Les Bains Paris, now a hybrid space that includes a boutique hotel, restaurant, and concept store, yet it retained its nightclub roots with a renewed focus on avant-garde electronic music programming. This rebirth was a nod to its storied past, while also embracing modernity and innovation in design and sound. Throughout its vibrant history, Les Bains has hosted a plethora of notable artists, cementing its status as a significant venue within the electronic music scene.

International luminaries such as Daft Punk, Laurent Garnier, and LCD Soundsystem have graced its decks, alongside local talents like Cassius and Justice. The venue continues to be a vital part of Paris's nightlife, echoing its legacy while continuously shaping the future of electronic music culture.
