Info

Exchange LA is a renowned nightclub located in downtown Los Angeles, California, within the historic Los Angeles Stock Exchange building at 618 S Spring Street. The venue, which opened in its nightclub incarnation in 2010, retains much of the grandeur of its roaring twenties architecture, featuring art deco flourishes and soaring ceilings. This structure originally opened in 1931 as the headquarters of the Los Angeles Stock Exchange, designed by Samuel Lunden.

After the stock exchange closed in the late 20th century, the building had various lives before its transformation into one of LA's premier nightlife destinations. Exchange LA stands out not only for its aesthetics but also for its massive 25,000-square-foot, four-story layout, which includes state-of-the-art light and sound systems, multiple dance floors, VIP lounges, and a mezzanine with sweeping views of the crowd below. Over the years, Exchange LA has built a reputation as a staple of the global electronic music scene, regularly ranking among the top nightclubs in the United States and earning a spot on DJ Mag’s Top 100 Clubs list.

It has played a significant role in elevating LA’s position as a key city for electronic dance music, providing a platform for both world-famous acts and emerging local talent. The club is celebrated for its immersive party experience and has hosted official after-parties for major events such as Electric Daisy Carnival. There have been minimal changes in location since its inception as a nightclub, owing to the fact that it is housed in a protected historic building; instead, the venue has focused on upgrading its amenities and stage technology over the years to remain cutting-edge while retaining its historic essence.

A long and diverse roster of notable artists has graced Exchange LA’s stage, contributing to its legendary status. International superstars who have performed there include Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, Eric Prydz, Deadmau5, Above & Beyond, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Sasha, John Digweed, Nicole Moudaber, Tale Of Us, Oliver Heldens, and Kaskade. The venue also frequently spotlights homegrown and local talent such as Audien, MAKJ, Dr.

Fresch, NGHTMRE, Justin Jay, and SOFI TUKKER, among many others, fostering an inclusive community for electronic music fans and artists in Los Angeles.
