Eris is a prominent nightclub and multi-use event space located in the East Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York City. Since opening its doors in January 2022, Eris has quickly garnered a reputation as a hub for the underground electronic music community, standing out due to its commitment to inclusivity, diverse lineups, and immersive party experiences. The venue occupies a 12,000-square-foot, two-level converted warehouse which previously served industrial purposes, now transformed into a dynamic nightlife oasis featuring a top-tier sound system, raw industrial aesthetics, intimate lighting, and modular spaces that can be adapted for club nights, live performances, art events, and experimental gatherings.
Eris emphasizes safety and comfort for guests, enforcing a strict no-photography policy and zero-tolerance stance on harassment, aligning itself with the ethos of queer-centered, forward-thinking nightlife. Over time, Eris has become a staple for Brooklyn’s DIY scene after the closure or transformation of other iconic venues such as Bossa Nova Civic Club and Output, offering a fresh vital space for artists and partygoers alike. The club has maintained its original location and structure but has continually refined its internal layout and AV setup to better serve both artists and patrons, often collaborating with local collectives, visual artists, and promoters.
Its distinctive approach fosters a meeting point for both emerging talent and established acts, contributing significantly to New York's cultural and music landscape, especially within the techno, house, experimental, and queer music genres. Notable artists and DJs who have performed at Eris include international acts such as VTSS, Ben UFO, Powder, LSDXOXO, TYGAPAW, Avalon Emerson, and DJ Stingray 313, alongside influential local DJs and collectives like Sean Thomas, Tygapaw, Analog Soul, Lydo, DJ Voices, Lovie, and resident crews such as Xanadude, Seltzer, and New World Dysorder, further cementing Eris’s status as a vital artery in the city’s vibrant nightlife.
The capacity of Eris is 150.
