Astral Junction venue image

Info

Nestled in the heart of Berlin’s vibrant nightlife scene, Astral Junction has become one of Germany’s most influential nightclubs since its inception in 2011. Established in a converted 19th-century warehouse in Kreuzberg, the venue was founded by a collective of electronic music enthusiasts who sought to create a space dedicated to audiovisual experimentation, inclusivity, and cutting-edge dance music. Astral Junction rapidly gained a reputation for its eclectic programming and its role as a haven for both up-and-coming talent and established icons in techno, house, and experimental genres.

Known for its industrial-chic decor and meticulously curated sound system, the club played a significant role in reviving the city’s underground cultural scene post-2010s, championing independent promoters and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for Berlin’s diverse communities. In 2017, Astral Junction underwent a major renovation, expanding its dancefloor and installing immersive lighting and projection systems, further cementing its status as a hub for multisensory clubbing experiences. That same year, it relocated only a few streets away, moving into a larger space while retaining the original gritty aesthetic and community-focused ethos.

As a regular site for label showcases, live performances, and all-night dance marathons, Astral Junction has become a reference point in Europe’s electronic music circuit and a destination for music lovers from around the world. It has also been recognized for nurturing local talent and supporting progressive causes, adding to its cultural significance in Germany’s ever-evolving nightlife landscape. Notable artists who have graced the decks or stage at Astral Junction include international acts such as Ben Klock, Nina Kraviz, Floating Points, Helena Hauff, Dixon, and The Chemical Brothers (DJ set), as well as local and rising stars like Tama Sumo, Recondite, Perel, and Pantha du Prince.
