Zara Dekho

Zara Dekho is a contemporary visual artist from Pakistan, recognized for her evocative exploration of identity, culture, and memory through mixed media and digital installations. Born in Lahore, she studied Fine Arts at the National College of Arts, where her interest in the intersection of tradition and modernity began to take shape. Dekho’s work often draws on motifs from South Asian heritage, reinterpreting miniature painting techniques, textiles, and calligraphy in the context of today’s globalized world.

Over the past decade, she has exhibited extensively across Pakistan, as well as internationally in galleries and biennales, where her poignant commentary on gender, diaspora, and social transformation has garnered critical acclaim.
