Bergsonist

Bergsonist is the artistic moniker of Selwa Abd, a Moroccan-born, New York-based multidisciplinary artist, producer, and DJ whose innovative sound bridges the realms of electronic music, experimental textures, and conceptual art. Drawing inspiration from her North African heritage, Abd infuses her work with deep rhythmic sensibilities, industrial grit, and a unique sense of sonic storytelling. Her releases on labels such as Optimo Music, Borft, and Hypercolour, showcase her versatility and flair for blending raw techno, ambient, and avant-garde elements.

Beyond her solo work, Bergsonist is a committed community builder, founding the Bizaarbazaar platform to foster exchange between artists, and championing accessible, diverse representation within electronic music.
