Wrecked Lightship

Wrecked Lightship is a genre-blending collective formed in Liverpool in 2018 that channels the spirit of the city’s maritime past into experimental soundscapes. Composed of multi-instrumentalists Isla Warren and Theo Finch, the duo crafts music that floats between dream pop, post-rock, and ambient electronica, characterized by ethereal vocals, shimmering guitars, and found sounds from the docks and shipyards. Their self-released debut EP, “Constant Vigil,” garnered attention for its atmospheric depth and lyrical meditations on memory, place, and displacement.

Wrecked Lightship’s live performances are immersive, often incorporating site-specific installations and live visual projections to evoke the haunting stillness of fog-shrouded harbours. The group continues to evolve, drawing inspiration from seafaring folklore, industrial decay, and the interplay between light and darkness on the open water, creating an evocative sonic journey that situates listeners between the tangible and the ephemeral.
