DJ Marcelle

DJ Marcelle, also known as Marcelle Van Hoof, is a Dutch DJ and producer renowned for her adventurous, genre-defying approach to DJing and electronic music. With roots in the Amsterdam music scene, she has built an international reputation for her freewheeling, three-turntable sets, which ingeniously blend dub, experimental electronics, post-punk, global sounds, and unexpected sonic textures. DJ Marcelle’s performances are characterized by their unpredictability, wit, and playful spirit, often weaving together field recordings, obscure vinyl, and leftfield club tracks into a coherent and stimulating whole.

Throughout her career, DJ Marcelle has released numerous albums and EPs on labels such as Jahmoni Music, expressing a fearless curiosity for new musical forms and hybrid genres.
