Ulo S.

Ulo S. is a multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the intersections of memory, perception, and environment through painting, sculpture, and installation. Born in Tallinn, Estonia in 1987, Ulo’s early fascination with the shifting urban landscapes of the Baltic region deeply influenced their visual language.

After studying fine art at the Estonian Academy of Arts and later completing a master’s degree in contemporary art practices in Berlin, Ulo has exhibited internationally in venues ranging from artist-run spaces in Helsinki to major galleries in Paris and New York. Their signature style blends organic forms with geometric abstraction, often incorporating found materials that reflect a dialogue between the natural and the industrial. Ulo’s work has been recognized with several awards, including a residency at the Delfina Foundation in London.

Currently based in Berlin, Ulo continues to experiment with new media and collaborates with local communities to create site-specific projects that engage with the histories and narratives of place.
