Tom Russell, known professionally as Truss, has established himself as a commanding presence within the world of techno and experimental electronic music. Hailing from Wales, Truss began producing music in the mid-2000s, drawing from the UK’s vibrant rave and industrial landscapes. With an early focus on rugged, percussive rhythms and a raw, analog sound, his productions soon caught the attention of forward-thinking labels including Perc Trax, R&S Records, Blueprint, and his own imprint Overlee Assembly.

As both a solo artist and as one half of the acclaimed duo Karenn (alongside Blawan), Truss has earned acclaim for his uncompromising approach to techno, favoring live hardware performances and improvised sets over pre-programmed routines.
