Todd Terje

Terje Olsen, known professionally as Todd Terje, is a Norwegian DJ, songwriter, and record producer born in Mjøndalen, Norway in 1981. Emerging onto the international electronic music scene in the early 2000s, Terje quickly gained recognition for his innovative approach to nu-disco, house, and cosmic disco. He adopted his stage name as a playful homage to fellow Norwegian house producer Todd Terry.

Terje's early work consisted of edits and remixes of classics, which found favor among DJs and music fans alike for their infectious grooves and cheeky sensibility. He became a central figure in the Oslo electronic scene, collaborating with other luminaries such as Lindstrøm and Prins Thomas. In 2012, he achieved worldwide fame with his breakthrough single “Inspector Norse,” a shimmering, melodic track praised for its euphoric spirit and meticulous production.

This track and others like “Strandbar” and “Ragysh” established Terje as a master of modern disco. His much-anticipated debut album, *It’s Album Time*, arrived in 2014 to widespread critical acclaim, showcasing his playful sound-collages, synth wizardry, and a touch of humor. Beyond solo releases, Terje is a prolific remixer, lending his distinctive style to songs by artists such as Bryan Ferry, Hot Chip, and Dolly Parton.

He is also known for his energetic live shows and DJ sets, bridging genres and eras with ease. Todd Terje’s influence extends across club culture, pop music, and dance floors worldwide, marking him as one of Scandinavia's most innovative and beloved electronic artists.
