Prins Thomas

Prins Thomas, born Thomas Moen Hermansen, is a Norwegian DJ, producer, and musician widely recognized as a pioneer of the "space disco" sound. Emerging from Oslo’s vibrant underground scene in the early 2000s, he has been instrumental in shaping the Nordic electronic and cosmic disco movements alongside collaborators like Lindstrøm and Todd Terje. Prins Thomas’s productions, DJ sets, and live performances are characterized by a seamless blend of house, techno, krautrock, psychedelia, and vintage synth sounds, infusing dance floors with groove-laden, expansive atmospheres.

With a background in drumming and a lifelong passion for music collecting, Prins Thomas has released acclaimed albums both solo and in collaboration, most notably with Lindstrøm on critically praised releases such as "*Lindstrøm & Prins Thomas*" and "*II*". His numerous solo LPs—including the eponymous "*Prins Thomas*" series—highlight his eclectic, melodic approach. Thomas also heads the Full Pupp label, a cornerstone for Norwegian dance music that has launched and supported a wave of new artists.

Renowned for extended DJ sets across the globe and remixes for acts like LCD Soundsystem, The Orb, and Roxy Music, Prins Thomas continues to innovate within contemporary electronic music while championing the exploratory spirit of disco’s past.
