Stephen William

Stephen William is a contemporary visual artist known for his evocative mixed-media works that seamlessly blend painting, sculpture, and found objects. Born in 1982 in Portland, Oregon, William developed an early fascination with the interplay of texture and color, which would later become hallmarks of his artistic style. After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2005, he began exhibiting in local galleries before gaining broader recognition with a solo show in New York City in 2010.

His work, often exploring themes of memory, identity, and the passage of time, has been described as both deeply personal and universally resonant. William’s pieces have been featured in numerous group and solo exhibitions across the United States and Europe, and his art is held in several prominent private and public collections. In addition to his studio practice, he is active in arts education, teaching workshops and mentoring emerging artists.
