Soapie Wash

Soapie Wash emerged from the underground club scene of Berlin, blending the atmospheric textures of deep house with playful nods to his love of everyday rituals. Born in 1997 in Hamburg, Soapie was raised in a family of artists and engineers, which sparked his fascination with the intersection of rhythm and repetition. After moving to Berlin in 2017, he immersed himself in the city's vibrant nightlife, quickly making a name for himself through residencies at intimate venues like Farbfernseher and Monarch.

Soapie's debut EP, *Sud Sessions* (2021), garnered attention for its lush, bubbly soundscapes and inventive sampling techniques, with tracks constructed from field recordings of laundromats and water flows. His follow-up release, *Spin Cycle*, solidified his reputation as a boundary-pushing producer unafraid to inject humor and warmth into electronic music. Beyond his work as a producer, Soapie is a regular fixture at European festivals, renowned for his immersive AV sets that combine surreal visuals with hypnotic grooves.

His collaborative project with performance artist Mira Klein blurs the boundaries between dance floor and performance art, bringing audiences into a multisensory experience. Soapie Wash continues to expand his creative footprint, curating the monthly “Rinse & Repeat” club night at About Blank and running a community workshop series on sound design. His consistently innovative approach champions the joyful, the eccentric, and the everyday, making him a unique voice in contemporary electronic music culture.
