Sarah Andersson is a multidisciplinary artist whose vibrant explorations in painting, sculpture, and installation have established her as a distinctive presence in contemporary art. Born in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1989, Andersson developed an early fascination with color, form, and narrative, which she pursued through formal studies at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design. Her work often blurs boundaries between abstraction and figuration, reflecting influences from Scandinavian minimalism and global folk traditions.
Andersson’s pieces are recognized for their emotive palettes and tactile surfaces, frequently addressing themes of memory, identity, and the interplay between nature and urban life. Her art has been exhibited in solo and group shows across Europe and North America, including notable exhibitions at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm and the Tate Modern in London. In addition to her studio practice, Andersson actively collaborates with community arts projects and lectures on contemporary visual culture.
She currently lives and works between Stockholm and Berlin, continuing to evolve her artistic vision through experimentation and cross-disciplinary exchange.
