RAMZi

RAMZi is the alias of Montreal-based producer Phoebé Guillemot, whose distinctive sound navigates the intersections of electronic, dub, and global dance music. Since emerging in the mid-2010s, RAMZi has carved out a unique niche with an otherworldly approach to production, blending dreamy synths, lush tropical rhythms, and playful, sample-heavy grooves. Influenced by her visual arts background and a fascination with mythical creatures and imagined landscapes, RAMZi’s music often evokes a sense of sonic world-building—her releases function as portals into fictional realms populated by bizarre fauna and shrouded in dense, evolving atmospheres.

Her acclaimed trilogy "Phobiza," alongside releases on labels like Mood Hut, 12th Isle, and Rvng Intl., has garnered international attention from DJs, critics, and fellow musicians alike. RAMZi’s live sets and DJ mixes further reveal her singular taste, seamlessly fusing left-field house, ambient, and mutant dancehall, while maintaining a distinctively whimsical, organic touch.
