Born out of a lifelong fascination with rhythm and texture, Presswork emerged in the underground club circuit as a DJ devoted to the art of sound architecture. Drawing from a wide palette that spans classic house, minimal techno, breakbeat, and experimental electronica, Presswork quickly established a reputation for immersive, narrative-driven sets characterized by intricate layering and seamless transitions. Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Presswork began mixing tapes in their teenage years, influenced by the region’s vibrant indie and electronic scenes.

After relocating to Berlin in 2016, they immersed themselves in the European nightlife, absorbing styles from industrial warehouses to intimate lounges and launching a series of dynamic mixtapes that gained a loyal online following. Known for both meticulous vinyl selections and innovative digital manipulation, Presswork highlights the tactile and improvisational joys of DJ culture. Their residencies at clubs such as Phonograph, Flux, and Echo Room brought crowds together for marathon sessions blending rare grooves with new, unreleased material from international collaborators.

In addition to live sets, Presswork produces original tracks and remixes featured on compilations for boutique labels in Berlin, London, and Brooklyn. Offstage, Presswork is committed to community, hosting workshops and artist talks focused on accessible music technology and creative collaboration. Their forward-thinking approach continues to redefine what it means to be a DJ—facilitating connection, exploration, and a deeply felt shared experience on the dance floor.
