Planet B is an experimental music project from the United States, formed by Justin Pearson, known for his work with The Locust and Dead Cross, and hip-hop producer Luke Henshaw. The duo bridges the worlds of hardcore punk, noise, hip-hop, and industrial, creating a sound that is both confrontational and genre-defying. Since their formation in the late 2010s, Planet B has become known for their politically charged lyrics, aggressive sonic textures, and a willingness to collaborate with a diverse range of artists, including Kool Keith, Doseone, and Martin Atkins.
Their debut self-titled album, released in 2018, showcases their penchant for dystopian themes, abrasive electronics, and a unique amalgamation of subcultural influences. Through their music and aesthetic, Planet B aims to challenge musical boundaries while offering a critical perspective on contemporary American society.
