Lorenzo Senni is an Italian musician, producer, and conceptual artist renowned for his unique deconstruction of trance and electronic music. Born in Cesena in 1983, Senni has become a seminal figure in the experimental electronic scene, largely through his exploration of the genre’s motifs—high-energy arpeggios, euphoric build-ups, and melodic repetition—while deliberately avoiding the climactic “drop.” Drawing inspiration from the energy and aesthetics of late-90s and early-2000s trance, Senni's critically acclaimed works such as "Quantum Jelly" (2012), "Superimpositions" (2014), and "Persona" (2016) dissect and isolate trance’s euphoric components, transforming them into cyclical, hypnotic compositions.
He is also the founder of the Presto!? label, which champions radical new sounds in electronic music. Senni’s practice extends into audiovisual installations and performances, further blurring the boundaries between club culture, conceptual art, and avant-garde experimentation.
With releases on influential labels like Warp Records and collaborations with artists across genres, Senni has established himself as a pivotal voice in contemporary experimental music, celebrated for his intellectual rigor, innovation, and emotionally resonant soundscapes.
