Lechuga Zafiro is the alias of Uruguayan producer and DJ Gastón Silveira, a leading innovator in Latin American electronic music. Rooted in Montevideo’s vibrant cultural landscape, Lechuga Zafiro’s sound fuses Afro-Uruguayan rhythms, candombe, experimental club music, and lush sound design, blurring the boundaries between traditional and contemporary music. Since emerging in the 2010s, Lechuga Zafiro has released acclaimed works on forward-thinking labels such as Salviatek, NAAFI, and Nyege Nyege Tapes, and has participated in international festivals, DJ sets, and art residencies, gaining recognition for his adventurous collaborations and boundary-pushing solo productions.
