Laura Foxx is a contemporary artist whose work navigates the intersections of nature, memory, and identity through vibrant mixed-media paintings and installations. Born in 1987 in Portland, Oregon, Foxx developed an early passion for art inspired by the lush landscapes of the Pacific Northwest and her family's tradition of storytelling. She received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2010, and soon after established her studio practice in Brooklyn, New York.
Foxx’s signature technique blends acrylics, found materials, and organic textures, resulting in evocative pieces that invite viewers into dreamlike, multilayered environments. Her work, exhibited in galleries across the United States and Europe, often explores themes of environmental fragility and personal history. In addition to her solo practice, Foxx is an active advocate for arts education, leading workshops and community mural projects throughout New York City.
With a steadily growing presence in both public and private collections, her art continues to be celebrated for its emotional resonance, bold aesthetic, and thoughtful exploration of our connections to the natural world.
