Born and raised in the outskirts of Los Angeles, they draw deep inspiration from the layered cultural and environmental landscapes of Southern California, translating personal history and collective memory into richly textured installations, video, and experimental music. L.A.tifa’s practice is characterized by a commitment to unearthing the stories that lie beneath the surface of everyday life, often incorporating found objects, archival materials, and participatory elements that invite audiences to reflect on issues of migration, identity, and resilience.

With a background in both fine arts and urban studies, their work has been exhibited in alternative spaces and established galleries throughout the United States and internationally, including recent solo and group exhibitions in Mexico City, Berlin, and New York.
